The Warehouse Inventory Specialist has the primary responsibility of overseeing the warehousing and inventory of material. The specialist also ensures that optimal inventory is present, accurate and is ready for use. Coordinates disposals, returns, and reallocation of obsolete items in the inventory. Audits inventory and accurately maintains on a regular basis, provides findings to management. Coordinates with Buyers to keep up to date status of shipments and tracking information. Receives incoming materials and stores accordingly. Will also assist and process outgoing shipments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of inventory control experience (including cycle counts, physical inventories, transfer of inventory, shelf management) is preferred
  • Forklift certification
  • Experience with WMS software, a plus
  • Experience with shipping and receiving goods
  • Computer Skills use of Email and Excel
  • Hands on work in a warehouse.
  • Use of tools: pallet jack and forklift
  • Willing to work OT and weekends when needed
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Curiosity and interest in learning
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • Mathematical skills as well as measurement calculation
  • Self-motivated and able to perform with little direction
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with inventory and warehouse personnel to ensure that adequate inventory levels are present
  • Counts number of packages or individual items, inspects for damage to outer container and notes any irregularities on carrier's bill of lading.
  • Ensures that inventory counts are completed as directed and in a timely manner
  • Delivers material to specified plant locations and defined storage areas
  • Fills and replenishes materials required by the assembly lines according to daily production schedule to ensure operational success and efficiencies.
  • Audits the inventory on a regular basis and provides results to management
  • Maintains designated storage areas and ensures they are clean and orderly
  • Organizes and stages materials in warehouse and racking according to need
  • Daily focus on safety while operating equipment to include property and pedestrian traffic
  • Loads / Unloads freight using forklifts and or pallet jacks
  • Stages material and update’s locations keeping slot integrity
  • Responsible for inventory control data entry and accuracy
  • Physically verifies all products associated with documentation
  • Verifies shipping order against the packing list prior to shipment
  • Accurately record physical weights and dimensions
  • Prepares required documentation for all International and Domestic shipments
  • Able to receive and process outgoing small package requirements
  • Ensures safe transport of equipment and product by utilizing the appropriate packing materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
