About The Position

The Distribution Center (DC) Inventory Control is responsible for keeping track of all products and supplies, ensuring that stock levels are appropriate and all items are accounted to ensure smooth and efficient management of inventory.

Requirements

  • Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Basic math skills for inventory counts and order processing.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues promptly.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, typically 8-hour shifts.
  • Lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Perform repetitive motions such as reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, and handling products.
  • Climbing ladders or scaffolding to perform tasks at elevated heights.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members.
  • Move quickly and efficiently to manage workload.
  • Maintain physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require fine motor skills, such as using tools or handling small objects.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Over one year of Warehouse Clerk experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Outlook and Excel/Word
  • WMS knowledge, NCR or DROSTE
  • Complete the company’s OSHA-accredited forklift training.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate record of inventory and stock management systems according to set standards
  • Ensure regulation of in-stock level complies with inventory parameters
  • Develop inventory control models that promote lower cost of sales, shorter lead times, and reduced stock levels
  • Assist in the organization of inventory in warehouses and perform physical counts of inventory
  • Engage in the forecast of supply and demand to obtain inventory goals
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and provide detailed reports of inventory status
  • Coordinate the logistics of orders and transfers of goods between different locations
  • Identify and report any stock discrepancies to management
  • Track and monitor receipt, storage, distribution and disposal of all items in inventory
  • Utilize inventory management software to track and analyze inventory trends
