About The Position

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Control Associate for the 1st shift. This role is responsible for directing daily activities related to coordinating shipments, trucks, trailers, processing paperwork, inventory control, and cross-functional interfacing with multiple teams and sites. The position also involves ordering and maintaining stock of all operational supplies and requires flexibility to accommodate changing priorities based on customer and business demands.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
No prior experience necessary.
Must have good eye/hand coordination and excellent manual dexterity.
Ability to use hand tools and electrical tools safely and effectively.
Must be able to read and comprehend numbers accurately.
Must be able to lift up to 86 lbs independently and 87-100 lbs with assistance.
Detail-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to equipment noise, dust, and temperature extremes.
Position requires frequent lifting, twisting, and bending.
Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, safety vests, and ear plugs.
Must be willing to obtain certification to operate motorized equipment, including sit-down forklifts, JL1s, and split-tail equipment.
Must follow all safety policies, procedures, and Health and Safety Manual requirements.
Required to report unsafe working conditions immediately.
Must comply with all Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements and regulations.
Consistent safe work performance is a key responsibility and a component of performance evaluations.
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Microsoft Excel and JDE is helpful.
Basic knowledge of shipping and inventory control processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

Directing the daily activities for coordinating shipments, trucks, trailers, processing paperwork, inventory control and interfacing cross-functionally with multiple teams and sites.
Ordering and maintaining stock of all operational supplies.
Training on paperwork for crates and vans.
Training on root cause analysis and investigating skills.
Interfacing with sites regarding order shipments, receipts, and shipping discrepancies.
Confirming shipping logs as needed.
Accurate and timely data entry on outgoing shipments.
Accurately completing bills of lading and all paperwork for outbound and inbound loads.
Learning and utilizing inventory systems and processes.
Monitoring and maintaining inventory accuracy (Cycle Counting).
Communicating directly with a customer service group when necessary.
Training new and existing team members on departmental tasks.
Performing warehouse & office housekeeping.
Updating daily, weekly, monthly, and annual dashboards as needed.
Printing daily shipping memos and ship schedules as needed.
Ordering and stocking of office/inventory/manufacturing/safety supplies.
Coordinating with inbound/outbound carrier drivers.
Coordinating trailer moves to and from the dock as needed.
Assisting with physical warehouse layout and utilization.
Attending scheduled staff meetings with DC/Plant Manager when necessary.
Performing basic duties of Cycle Counter 3 at times, based upon ability and experience.
Maintaining an accurate timecard daily and calculating it on a weekly basis.
Actively participating in all plant safety programs, depending on location.
Performing other related duties and assignments as required.
