About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring Warehouse Inventory Clerks/Problem Solvers in Port Deposit, Maryland. This role involves supporting distribution across the US with various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles. Ryder aims to provide the safest supply chain environment with state-of-the-art equipment. Products handled include retail items. The position requires the ability to operate powered industrial equipment, such as a high reach order/cherry picker. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience
  • Ability to Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
  • Manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments
  • Recognize and read location, date and product codes
  • Work independently and as a member of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) (beginner level)
  • Depending on location may be required to be equipment certified
  • Safety Sensitive Position, Non-Regulated Tech
  • Depending on location, may be required to operate and be equipment certified
  • Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Willingness to operate PIT equipment, as there will be times the job will require operating a high reach order picker up to 30 feet

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits
  • Conduct audits of inbound and outbound shipments
  • Participate in physical inventories as necessary
  • Provide floor support to Operation Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies as needed
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with emphasis on safety
  • Ensure inventory accuracy to meet client demands
  • Perform other duties as assigned
