About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring Warehouse Inventory Clerks/Problem Solvers in Port Deposit, Maryland. This role involves handling retail items and requires the ability to operate powered industrial equipment, such as a high reach order/cherry picker. Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments
• Ability to recognize and read location, date and product codes
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) (beginner level)
• Depending on location may be required to be equipment certified
• Safety Sensitive Position, Non-Regulated Tech - Depending on location, may be required to operate and be equipment certified
• Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Nice To Haves

• Willingness to operate PIT equipment, as there will be times the job will require operating a high reach order picker up to 30 feet
• Ability to Operate Powered Industrial Equipment, such as high reach order/cherry picker

Responsibilities

• Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits
• Conduct audits of inbound and outbound shipments
• Participate in physical inventories as necessary
• Provide floor support to Operation Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues
• Resolve inventory discrepancies as needed
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with emphasis on safety
• Ensure inventory accuracy to meet client demands
• Perform other duties as assigned
