About The Position

At ABB, we help industries run leaner and cleaner. This position reports to the Warehouse/Internal Logistics Manager. In this role, you will be in charge of ensuring that warehousing operations are executed in a safe, timely and efficient manner. This is a key position in the ABB Mebane team. You will lead by example, following all established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record and dispatch goods in the warehouse to ensure seamless receipt and dispatch of goods. The work model for the role is #LI-onsite. This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in Mebane, NC.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience working as a warehouse supervisor.
• Demonstrated experience working on a production line.
• Knowledge of ERP system specifically SAP system.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent accepted with relevant experience.
• Supervisory experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the warehousing operations (including packing, picking, loading and dispatching).
• Maintaining complete and accurate data in the ERP/MRP system.
• Inspecting quality of incoming goods before storage, to ensure no damaged goods are received.
• Ensuring daily contact with suppliers to prepare for expected deliveries and ensure required resources and equipment are available.
• Participating in regular inventory control processes and reviews, ensures stock accuracy through periodic stock take and/or cycle counting.
• Maintains standards of health and safety.
• Ensures quality environmental objectives are met.
• Optimizes warehouse capacity, inventory and floor utilization.
• Recommends measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and work crew and equipment performance.
