About The Position

The Warehouse II role primarily moves product within the warehouse and serves as a backup delivery driver for non-CDL trucks. This general labor position prioritizes and picks products to fill orders and physically moves and lifts products, with duties involving tire handling and loads described as weighing up to 150 pounds. The position also supports warehouse administration, inventory accuracy and control, product staging, facilities upkeep, and safe equipment operation. The employee may travel 5% of the time and is exposed to prevailing weather conditions; the work environment usually has moderate noise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform the described physical duties, including handling tires weighing more than approximately 50 pounds.
• Travel required 5% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administrative tasks, including handling and preparing paperwork, and may assist with daily warehouse closing.
• Help verify incoming and outgoing products for accuracy in amount, size, and type; notify management about inventory or supply shortages and assist with periodic inventory counts.
• Compile and submit reports concerning damaged or outdated stock and supplies, shipment discrepancies, and product returns; separate defective products from normal inventory.
• Prioritize and pick materials to fill orders, and stage products for loading.
• Organize warehouse stock by product line and physical alignment while allowing space for overflow.
• Load and unload delivery trucks, lifting products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds and handling tires weighing more than approximately 50 pounds by rolling, destacking, or team lifting.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers, safely, and maintain an operator license if required.
• Perform periodic facilities maintenance and custodial or housekeeping tasks, including cleaning the parking lot, loading dock, and areas around the building; keeping floors clear; maintaining bathrooms; and assisting with daily warehouse closing.
• Serve as a backup delivery driver for non-CDL trucks.
