About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in all Dry Warehouse storage, receiving, and tempering areas. This includes ambient and frozen receiving docks, ambient, 40 degree and -20 warehouse locations, flammable rooms, tempering and hot box areas, all staging areas and pallet transfer areas. The position involves the movement of materials in a safe and efficient manner to and from storage and production locations, staging areas, and receiving areas, as well as facilitating the approval and flow of materials into the facility according to established procedures. The employee is expected to understand the process of Materials Warehousing and be proficient in all job duties including receiving, storage, product transfers, shipping, picking, production schedules, returns, lot tracking, tempering/thawing, cycle counting, and SAP and RF system operation. The role also involves performing location moves and staging transactions in a timely manner, verifying Lot Control and FEFO for all floor deliveries and returns, and operating various warehouse management systems (SAP and RF), spreadsheets, and word-processing documents. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, good math skills, and a sense of urgency to accomplish goals and tasks. The employee is responsible for their performance, efficiencies, waste, quality, safety, and results. Effective handover with the next shift, including reporting watch outs and issues, is crucial. Adherence to all Safety/GMP/HACCP/FOB procedures is mandatory. The role also includes minimizing waste, reporting damage immediately, and adhering to scheduled work times for pre and post-shift meetings. Communication with the team and supervisor/manager is essential, and employees are encouraged to promote a culture of ownership. Training others as assigned and performing other job duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules
  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as part of the job function
  • Must be detailed oriented and have good math skills
  • Act with a sense of urgency to accomplish goals and tasks
  • Follow, monitor and understand all Safety/GMP/HACCP/FOB procedures
  • Swipe in and out on time
  • Be at your work area as scheduled on time to pre and post shift meetings
  • Communicate with team and supervisor/manager

Responsibilities

  • Maintain good housekeeping in all Dry Warehouse storage, receiving, and tempering areas.
  • Move materials in a safe and efficient manner to and from storage and production locations, staging areas, and receiving areas.
  • Facilitate the approval and flow of materials into the facility according to established procedures.
  • Perform all job duties including receiving, storage, product transfers, shipping, picking, production schedules, returns, lot tracking, tempering/thawing, cycle counting, and SAP and RF system operation.
  • Perform location moves and staging transactions in a timely manner.
  • Verify Lot Control and FEFO is used for all floor deliveries and returns.
  • Operate various warehouse management systems (SAP and RF), spreadsheets, and word-processing documents.
  • Properly fill out all paperwork needed for warehouse operation.
  • Ensure that all packaging and raw materials are properly rotated on a (FEFO) basis.
  • Safely transfer pallets from wood to plastic using the Pallet Transfer System and/or forklifts.
  • Stage for next production cycle appropriately.
  • Monitor the availability and usage of plastic pallets to ensure that product is not setup on plastic pallets too far in advance.
  • Minimize the number of plastic pallets that are returned to the warehouse.
  • Complete assigned Cleaning Tasks, Cycle Count, Allergen Audit, Forklift inspection/watering, Rack inspection and Temperature check.
  • Perform Allergen and Non Genetically Modified (NGM) segregation and pallet tag according to Allergen procedure.
  • Keep rack locations safe and usable, restacking or up-righting any tipped pallets in racking.
  • Always maintain safety requirements such as wearing fall protection harness.
  • Collect, sort and organize pallets from Warehouse placing damaged pallets in pallet recycling area and fill out a dump log.
  • Be certified on safe operation of all Material Handling Equipment.
  • Ensure effective hand over with the next shift, all watch outs and issues reported.
  • Follow, monitor and understand all Safety/GMP/HACCP/FOB procedures.
  • Perform start-up safety inspection on forklifts.
  • Keep waste to a minimum and report any and all damage immediately.
  • Swipe in and out on time.
  • Be at your work area as scheduled on time to pre and post shift meetings.
  • Communicate with team and supervisor/manager, keeping them informed of any issues.
  • Promote the Froneri culture of employees being owners rather than just employees.
  • Train others as assigned.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
