Generalist, Warehouse 1st Shift
About The Position
As a Warehouse Generalist at C&S Wholesale Grocers, you fill in for warehouse positions including Warehouse Worker, Warehouse Clerk, Forklift Operator, Selector, Backhauler, and Porter. Duties include picking and moving products, replenishing pick slots, building and wrapping pallets, loading and unloading trucks, recording work activity, and cleaning warehouse areas. The role may require assisting other departments and working necessary overtime to meet business needs. The position is full-time, on the first shift, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and pays $19.00 per hour with weekly pay.
Requirements
- One or more years of experience operating material handling equipment.
- Strong sense of safety and ability to follow standard safety procedures.
- Ability and willingness to follow safe material handling equipment operating procedures.
- Team-oriented outlook and a passion for helping others.

- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma listed among qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform Warehouse Worker duties, including picking products and replenishing pick slots using an order picker.
- Manually pick product cases, build pallets, wrap them, and load them onto trailers or delivery trucks.
- Record daily actions using voice-command, pick sheets, Power-warehouse, or a radio frequency computer terminal, as applicable.
- Operate an electric pallet jack to load or transport pallets.
- Compile un-palletized products onto pallets.
- Perform Forklift Operator duties, including operating a stand-up forklift to put away or retrieve pallets from warehouse racks up to 46 feet high.
- Manually lift and position pallets and stock or pick product cases into warehouse racks.
- Perform Selector duties, including selecting grocery, perishable, or frozen cases and preparing pallets for shipment.
- Perform Backhauler duties, including using an electric pallet jack or clamp machine to move pallets off inbound trucks.
- Perform Porter duties, including cleaning and maintaining warehouse aisles, product slots, offices, break areas, and restrooms.
- Work through the end of the shift, including necessary overtime, to meet business needs.
- Assist in other departments based on business needs.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
