About The Position

Vertical Cold Storage is hiring a Warehouse General Laborer to perform warehouse duties accurately and on time, helping provide high-quality service. The role supports facility operations and includes handling and labeling cases and pallets, processing inventory, maintaining housekeeping, and following workplace safety rules. The posted schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

Strong math skills to count and multiply accurately.
Ability to use a non-motorized pallet jack.
Ability to stand and walk regularly for 8 or more hours per day.
Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 60 pounds.
Ability to frequently bend, twist, stoop, grip, climb or balance, and reach with hands and arms.

Nice To Haves

Prior warehouse or distribution experience is desired.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor the condition of cases and the integrity of pallets, and report substandard or out-of-specification items to supervision.
Label cases or loads according to customer specifications.
Process inventory by stacking, unstacking, restacking, wrapping, and unwrapping pallets and cases according to customer specifications.
Insert or remove dividers between cases as instructed.
Perform general housekeeping, including sweeping and emptying garbage.
Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as needed.
Communicate positively and effectively within a team environment.
Meet the position’s attendance requirements.
Stretch-wrap pallets manually or with a powered machine.
Work safely by maintaining a safe environment, following safety rules and regulations, staying aware of surroundings, and using machines only when trained.
Support duties assigned by plant supervision to assist facility operations.
Perform other duties as business needs require.
