Warehouse Freezer Order Selector -Milwaukie
About The Position
As a Selector Trainee, you will work individually to select full-case grocery, frozen, and/or perishable products from warehouse pick slots using a pallet jack or other equipment. You will use order sheets or an audio headset, arrange products on pallets, wrap them, and transport pallets to the shipping dock. In some cases, you may load them onto a trailer for delivery to customers. Safety is a top priority for all employees. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, starting at 1 p.m. Starting pay is $25.50 per hour, with a $2 freezer premium and a $1.50 shift differential for the 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. period. The role involves work in freezer, perishable, and grocery warehouse environments.
Requirements
- Ability to operate a pallet jack and other required materials handling equipment.
- Ability to operate a battery hoist.

- Ability to frequently lift up to 60 pounds and occasionally carry up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk continuously and to stoop, pivot, reach, and handle equipment continuously.
- Fall-protection training and use of proper fall-protection equipment when climbing.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of work and adherence to production and safety standards.
- Use a pick sheet or technology such as voice equipment or a scanner to select products.
- Operate a double walkie-rider or pallet jack to remove cases from storage racks, place them on pallets, and apply selection labels to cases when required.
- Move pallets using an electric pallet jack or walkie-rider, and transport completed orders to the shipping dock for delivery to retail stores.
- Wrap products properly to protect them from damage and report differences in case quantity or description to a supervisor.
- Write the store number on pallets when required.
- Use a battery hoist and change batteries when necessary.
- Keep the work area clean.
- Complete equipment inspection forms.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
