Warehouse Forklift Operator - Bucyrus
About The Position
This role is responsible for operating a forklift to manage inbound and outbound materials, moving freight and stock between storage, production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers. The operator will also sort finished goods, attach labels, and read work orders or follow oral instructions. Maintaining a clean work area through sweeping and trash removal is also part of the duties, along with other tasks assigned by management. The position emphasizes running a safe and clean operation to achieve zero accidents, meeting production and delivery schedules, and maintaining punctuality.
Requirements
- No more than 4 attendance points to qualify.
- No second write up in any area
- Standing long periods, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs. individually and 80 lbs. with a team lift.
- Maintain product specifications during production and packing according to customer requests.
- Meet daily delivery requirements.
- Monitor and advise if there are not an adequate inventory of materials (finished parts, WIP, and raw materials).
- May participate in housekeeping.
- Adhere to all safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Ability to use a forklift to load and unload inbound and outbound materials
- Move freight, stock, to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using other equipment
- Sort finished goods before loading and unloading
- Attach identifying labels to containers or mark them with identifying information
- Read work orders or follow oral instructions of work assignments
- Assist in maintaining work area (i.e. sweeping, emptying trash, etc.)
- Other duties and special projects as assigned by Management.
