About The Position

Chesapeake Beverage | Mitchell Companies is hiring a Union Warehouse Forklift Operator for a day-shift warehouse role. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10:00 A.M. to 8:30 P.M., with Fridays off. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, and a $750 sign-on bonus is paid after 90 days of successful employment. The role involves hands-on warehouse work, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing frequently. Employees may work around varying temperatures and noise levels and are expected to follow safety guidelines. Employment offers are conditional on satisfactory completion of a background check and drug screening. The duties listed are not exhaustive; other related duties may be assigned as business needs require.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Good communication skills, dependability, and a team-oriented attitude.
A safety-first mindset.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and to stand or walk for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Warehouse experience is preferred.
Valid forklift certification and safe operating experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load and unload delivery trucks and containers.
Check incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists and invoices for accuracy.
Organize, stack, and store inventory in designated locations while making efficient use of warehouse space.
Package and label products according to company standards.
Keep the work area and equipment clean and organized.
Perform routine forklift checks and report mechanical issues.
Promptly notify the Warehouse Manager about damaged or missing inventory.
Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
