About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Operator (also described as a Material Handler) in Frankfort, Indiana. The role supports warehouse and distribution operations handling food products in a clean, organized facility. Equipment includes a sit-down forklift and an automated pallet jack (walkie rider); operators should be comfortable driving a sit-down forklift backward.

The schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mandatory Sunday overtime applies during the busy season. Pay is weekly at $21.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid certified Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work as a team player in a diverse work environment.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships across organizational levels, including peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors.
• Be thorough, dependable, punctual, and maintain good attendance.
• Perform work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions that may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Perform duties within the performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load and unload trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork, such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects of the automated packing system during the core production shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
