About The Position

Loads outbound trucks and puts away inbound merchandise, and performs clean-up duties. This role requires the ability to read and write to follow written instructions and shipping papers, and to fill in corrections and needed information. Analytical skills are important for problem-solving. The position involves working in a team environment and requires passing a forklift operator test after training. A high school diploma or GED is required. Knowledge of building materials is a plus.

Requirements

Must be able to read and write so that written instructions and shipping papers can be easily followed and that corrections and needed information can be easily filled.
Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
Must be able to pass our forklift operators test after a normal training procedure.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of building materials a plus.

Responsibilities

Put away or stock inbound materials.
Pull customers’ orders from inventory on hand.
Load company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.
Safely operate a forklift to assist in handling of materials.
Sweep and clean warehouse and pick up trash.
Observe all safety rules: (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.).
Assist in counting inventory.
