Warehouse Forklift Driver
About The Position
Capitol Distributing is the largest convenience wholesale distributor in Idaho. Founded in 1983, Capitol delivers to retailers across the Western United States from its 300,000 square foot distribution center in Caldwell, Idaho. Forklift Operators are responsible for operating standing forklifts throughout the warehouse which can include receiving, storage, supply and loading areas. Obtains distribution of orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested materials, equipment, or pallets accordingly. Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including tucks, storage bays, and staging areas. Apply understanding of forklift operations, safety, and loading capacities. Communicates with supervisor and floors lead on a regular basis to meet business objectives. Ensures accuracy of product inventory and storage through placing items in assigned locations. May be asked to use scanning devices to log and stock products daily. Operators may fill other positions as needed.
Requirements
- 1+ year of forklift experience.
- Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.
- Ability to attend and pass onsite forklift driving training as requested.
- Must be able to work other jobs within the warehouse as needed.
- Must be able to work occasional overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Standing forklift experience preferred.
