About The Position

Join Capitol Distributing as a Forklift Operator and play an important role in keeping our 300,000-square-foot distribution center moving. In this position, you’ll operate a forklift to safely transport, store, stage, and load products throughout the warehouse while helping maintain accurate inventory and efficient operations. We’re looking for an experienced forklift operator who puts safety first, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to support the warehouse team.

Requirements

1+ year of forklift experience.
Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.
Ability to attend and pass onsite forklift driving training as requested.
Must be able to work other jobs within the warehouse as needed.
Must be able to work occasional overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

Standing forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Obtain distribution of orders and then identify, verify, and transport requested materials, equipment, or pallets accordingly.
Identify and transport requested materials to and from various locations including tucks, storage bays, and staging areas.
Operate forklift safety adhering to loading capacities.
Communicate with supervisor and floors lead on a regular basis to meet business objectives.
Ensure accuracy of product inventory and storage through placing items in assigned locations.
May be asked to use scanning devices to log and stock products daily.
Operators may fill other positions as needed.
