About The Position

Capitol Distributing is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Driver to support operations at its 300,000-square-foot distribution center in Caldwell, Idaho. The role operates a forklift to transport, store, stage, and load products throughout the warehouse while supporting accurate inventory and efficient operations. The position is full-time and includes one weekend day; overtime may be required based on business needs and operational demands. Forklift drivers work in regular or freezer temperatures. Employees assigned to freezer conditions receive adequate cold-weather gear and additional hourly differentials. The role uses standing forklifts to move pallets in narrow and crowded areas and involves frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting 70+ pounds, overhead lifting, repetitive use of both hands, and frequently getting on and off the lift. Employees are expected to understand and follow basic instructions and policies.

Requirements

At least 1 year of forklift experience.
Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.
Ability to attend and pass onsite forklift driving training when requested.
Ability to work other jobs within the warehouse as needed.
Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
Ability to follow and understand basic instructions and policies.
Ability to meet the role's physical demands, including lifting 70+ pounds and overhead lifting.

Responsibilities

Obtain order distributions and identify, verify, and transport requested materials, equipment, or pallets.
Transport requested materials between locations, including trucks, storage bays, and staging areas.
Operate a forklift safely and adhere to loading capacities.
Communicate regularly with the supervisor and floor lead to meet business objectives.
Place items in assigned locations to ensure accurate product inventory and storage.
Use scanning devices to log and stock products when requested.
Perform other warehouse positions or jobs as needed.
