About The Position

Capitol Distributing is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Driver to support operations at its 300,000-square-foot distribution center in Caldwell, Idaho. The role involves safely transporting, storing, staging, and loading products throughout the warehouse while supporting accurate inventory and efficient operations. Forklift drivers work in regular or freezer temperatures; employees assigned to freezer conditions receive cold-weather gear and additional hourly differentials. The warehouse uses standing forklifts to move pallets through narrow and crowded areas. Employees may be asked to use scanning devices and to fill other warehouse positions as needed.

Requirements

At least 1 year of forklift experience.
Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.
Ability to attend and pass onsite forklift driving training when requested.
Ability to work other jobs within the warehouse as needed.
Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Obtain order distributions and identify, verify, and transport requested materials, equipment, or pallets.
Transport requested materials to and from trucks, storage bays, staging areas, and other locations.
Operate a forklift safely and adhere to loading capacities.
Communicate regularly with the supervisor and floor lead to meet business objectives.
Maintain accurate product inventory and storage by placing items in assigned locations.
Use scanning devices to log and stock products when requested.
Perform other warehouse jobs as needed.
