The Warehouse Forklift Driver uses tools and equipment to pick, sort, move, and store materials within the warehouse ensuring efficient movement of goods through the supply chain. The role involves using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, requires physical stamina and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or Equivalent
  • Attention to detail is crucial for accurate inventory management and record-keeping along with basic computer/data entry skills are helpful for tracking supplies and inventory.
  • Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for a minimum, 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lbs.
  • Familiarity with operating equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Move materials and products from loading docks to delivery vehicles, ships, or storage areas.
  • Operates manual and power equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes to handle materials.
  • Receive, stock, and organize inventory, often using electronic tracking systems to maintain accurate records.
  • Collect and sort materials for order fulfillment or production, sometimes palletizing them for shipment.
  • Performs basic cleaning of equipment, like material hoppers, and ensures proper storage of materials and follows safety protocols when handling materials and operating equipment.
