About The Position

Ryder is hiring AGV Operators in Miami Gardens, Fl — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about. Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Products Being Handled: Food and Beverages. Equipment: Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years or more Experience Related warehouse experience
Two (2) years or more Experience Powered industrial lift experience
Ability to: Read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc
Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
Input data into computer system(s) in use
Work overtime as assigned
Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
Work independently and as member of a team
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized with excellent time management skills
Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
Operate powered industrial trucks (s), such as: Stand-up and Sit down forklifts, Cherry Pickers, Pallet Jacks, etc including how to operate and maintain (change battery, recognize common mechanical issues) (advanced level)
May be required to operate manual and/or automated other warehouse/manufacturing equipment (such as a packaging line) (intermediate level)
Safety Sensitive Position
Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Nice To Haves

Powered industrial truck certification preferred

Responsibilities

Provide corrective maintenance to AGV units that have stopped or are not working as expected
Manually override or complete the job the AGV unit failed to complete
Track issues/repairs and utilize escalation process
Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
May be required to perform other warehouse functions
May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipment
