About The Position

Responsible for assisting with the management of day-to-day warehouse operations in collaboration with, or in the absence of, the Director of Warehouse Operations. Manages, monitors, and supports multiple roles within warehouse operations and supervises employees.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory or management experience in a retail or warehouse setting
  • Experience operating power equipment

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the day-to-day management and operations of the warehouse.
  • Maintains warehouse sanitation, health, and safety standards following guidelines from Feeding America, AIB, New York State, the USDA, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Assigns truck runs to selectors and monitors progress to ensure timely, safe, and accurate completion.
  • Supports fiscal responsibility while staying within budget.
  • Opens or closes the facility in the absence of the Director of Warehouse Operations.
  • Assists in recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and development of warehouse staff.
  • Provides input for employee performance reviews, counseling, and terminations.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely review and approval of employee time and time off through the timekeeping system.
  • Follows all safety standards and procedures.
  • Works independently and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the mission of the Food Bank.
  • Adheres to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
