About The Position

As the Warehouse and Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of our warehouse operations, including inventory control, logistics, and equipment management. You will also be responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement, and disposal of fleet vehicles. Your exceptional leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and strong organizational skills will contribute to the overall success of our residential service company. Requirements

  • Previous experience in warehouse management, fleet management, or a similar leadership role, preferably in a service-oriented industry.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and tools, with the ability to analyze and report on inventory data.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory control, logistics, and equipment management.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, or electrical materials and equipment is an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification and knowledge of safe forklift operation is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement warehouse and fleet strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient operations and optimize inventory management.
  • Lead and manage a team of warehouse and fleet staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing team.
  • Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliations to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with procurement and service teams to forecast inventory needs and place purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to facilitate efficient product storage, retrieval, and order fulfillment.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel.
  • Manage receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming shipments, verifying accuracy and quality of products, and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate outbound logistics, including picking, packing, and shipping of products, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment and tools, coordinating repairs and maintenance to ensure availability and functionality.
  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems and software, utilizing technology to track, analyze, and report on inventory levels and trends.
  • Analyze warehouse and fleet operations and identify areas for improvement, implementing process enhancements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including service, procurement, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, recommending changes and improvements to warehouse management processes.
