JOB SUMMARY: The Warehouse Facilities Tech is responsible for performing both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance of the warehouse's infrastructure. This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing various systems including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components of the warehouse.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of work experience in a distribution center environment preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to work in a multi-temperature environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, manage time efficiently, and attend to details.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with food safety and/or OSHA standards is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair structural and mechanical systems of the warehouse, including plumbing, electrical wiring, and other systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, using a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Document maintenance tasks and repairs, ensuring accurate records of all activities and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Respond to and prioritize maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for the procurement of necessary maintenance supplies.
  • Diagnose mechanical and facility issues.
  • Conduct repairs on various equipment and infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to warehouse operations.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment, and enforcement of safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Quickly and effectively identify and solve technical or mechanical failures in the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of maintenance work performed, inventory of parts and supplies, and other documentation required to comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Available to respond to emergency calls for repairs and maintenance issues during off-hours if necessary.
  • Engage in physical activities such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods, which are necessary to perform job functions.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and integration into existing systems.
