This role involves operating warehouse equipment to stock products. Key responsibilities include scanning products and locations, verifying part numbers and quantities, and ensuring proper stock rotation using a 'first in, first out' method. If adequate space is unavailable, the operator will find and utilize alternative locations. The position requires operating a stock picker or reach truck with the necessary certification. The role also emphasizes meeting internal and external customer expectations for quality, cost, and delivery, achieving quality goals related to errors, and participating in job qualification audits while adhering to standard operating procedures. Maintaining acceptable time and attendance, being available for overtime, and demonstrating a positive, team-oriented attitude are crucial. The operator must contribute to the operations team by accepting other duties, working independently with minimal supervision, and maintaining a positive attitude focused on results. Ensuring a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and reporting hazards is also a key aspect. The role supports daily warehouse metrics for safety, quality, delivery, and cost, performs foreign object detection (FOD) and location maintenance to maintain 5S standards, and actively cross-trains in other areas as required.
