Reporting to the Business Centre Manager, the Warehouse Clerk receives, verifies and stocks merchandise, prepares orders, packs goods and ships orders in a timely manner. Requirements

  • Experience in a similar position is an asset
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and meet key deadlines
  • Team player, adaptable, energetic with a positive professional attitude
  • Demonstrated initiative to self-improvement of your business and product skills
  • Good PC skills including MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proactive in finding ways to improve productivity in the Warehouse
  • Must be able to handle items under 50lbs
  • Valid forklift certificate is an asset; otherwise training will be provided

Responsibilities

  • Highly meticulous in keeping the warehouse tidy, ensuring merchandise is placed in the right location
  • Ensures productivity and safety in the warehouse as well as in the yard
  • Ensures orders are filled accurately and on time
  • Offload trucks, check for missing and damaged merchandise
  • Receive and verify shipments and place merchandise in stock
  • Locate related Customer back-orders and advise Customer of their arrival
  • Place and arrange stock in orderly fashion and re-arrange as required
  • Ability to transition to a delivery driver if required due to sales growth
  • Pick and pack goods, and ship orders in an accurate and timely manner
  • Pack for goods damage free shipment
  • Keep the warehouse tidy ensuring productivity and safety in the warehouse
  • Provide sales support at the Counter as needed greeting customers, preparing orders, merchandising and other assigned tasks
