About The Position

Warehouse Operations at Cardinal Health involves performing and controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks essential for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This encompasses functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storing, and delivering products. The role is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of products from vendors to various internal and external customers, adhering to prescribed service parameters. Individuals in this position are expected to apply acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks, readily learn and implement new information and methods, and maintain all necessary licenses, training, and certifications. The work involves routine assignments that may require some problem resolution, operating within clearly defined standard operating procedures and scientific methods, and adhering to all quality guidelines. Employees work under a moderate degree of supervision, with their output regularly reviewed by a work lead or supervisor, and are expected to refer complex or unusual problems to their supervisor.

Requirements

  • Available to work night shifts, weekends and/or holidays is required
  • Active Puerto Rico Driver License is required
  • Lift weight from 30 pounds or more as necessary is required
  • Adherence to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel toed safety shoes, and material handling equipment safety harness; accountable to Cardinal Health’s EHS as well as QRA policies and procedures
  • Position requires utilizing machinery with manufacturer height and weight restrictions: Must not exceed a weight of 350 pounds, must not exceed a height of 6 Feet

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience is preferred
  • 1-2 years experience is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft office is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery functions
  • Responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers
  • Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks
  • Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area
  • Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
  • Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution
  • Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
  • Adheres to all quality guidelines
  • Works under moderate degree of supervision
  • Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
  • Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor
