About The Position

Responsible for all aspects of warehousing, including order picking, shipping, receiving, UPS duties, and checking of orders and material. This role involves assigning storage locations, assembling customer orders accurately, preparing orders for shipment, loading containers, checking for damaged product, and operating a forklift. The position also requires maintaining a clean and safe work area, assisting team members, and handling UPS and e-commerce preparation and shipping. Understanding the use of a scanner is also necessary.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Good communications skills that include the ability to read, write and speak English.
Acceptable attendance and performance record.
Certified under the Gold Eagle Forklift Training Program or equivalent.
Must be responsible for assisting in the day to day operations that could include 10 to 12 hours a day and the possibility of 6 days a week.
Overtime for this position is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Assigns storage locations for various materials and finished products under the direction of the Supervisor.
Assembles customer orders accurately, as to quantity and type of material from pick tickets and bills of lading.
Alternates with other team members to verify the accuracy of the orders they pick.
Prepares orders for shipment in a safe and proper manner for transport.
Loads containers by hand for floor load requests or by pallet request.
Checks for damaged or defective product prior to picking and shipment.
Uses hand truck and/or forklift truck to move product and pick orders.
Assists truck drivers in loading and verifying counts.
Maintains clean and safe work area.
Keeps team leader/supervisor properly informed.
Assists fellow team members as workload dictates.
Handles UPS preparation and shipping.
Operates a forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Understands the concept of using a Scanner.
Handles e-commerce preparation and shipping.
