About The Position

Kamco Supply Corp. of Boston is New England's largest one stop source and distributor of commercial building products. They are seeking to add a Warehouse Employee/ Shipping & Receiving/ Forklift Operator to their team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of building materials and products. This role supports warehouse operations, customer order fulfillment, and delivery activities while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be a team player who can assist drivers by loading/unloading construction materials on and off trucks, help with daily warehouse tasks, and collaborate with the team to ensure all daily tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior warehouse, distribution, or building materials experience
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (training may be provided)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Reliable attendance and transportation required
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, including a lift test and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification or prior forklift operating experience
  • Knowledge of building materials, including drywall/sheetrock handling
  • Experience with warehouse management systems or RF scanning technology

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and move incoming materials to appropriate storage or staging areas
  • Sort and stock materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to established procedures
  • Pick, assemble, and prepare customer orders for pickup and delivery
  • Load and unload materials onto trucks, including manual handling when required
  • Assist drivers with deliveries and related labor activities as needed
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with safety standards
  • Perform shipping, receiving, and order picking functions to support daily operations
  • Maintain accurate material identification through labeling and documentation
  • Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and use of RF scanning devices
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, ensuring aisles are clear and materials are properly stored
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Provide professional and courteous service to internal and external customers
