About The Position

Newcomb and Company is seeking a Warehouse Driver. The Warehouse Driver delivers equipment and materials, including vendor deliveries, jobsite returns, and scheduled pickups.

Requirements

Must adhere to and participate in the company safety program.
Be aware of OSHA safety requirements and enforce in all areas.
This position requires a high-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent forklift skills and forklift license are required.
Possess a clean, valid NC Class C Driver’s License.
Ability to work 40 - 45 hours a week.

Responsibilities

Assist the Warehouse Team Lead (WTL) with routine inspections of all department vehicles and tools for signs of wear and tear.
Perform hands-on movement of materials, including managing incoming and outgoing deliveries, and loading/unloading vehicles.
Participate in scheduled warehouse inventories—monthly, quarterly, and annually.
Conduct weekly spot checks to assess inventory levels and identify replenishment needs.
Deliver materials to project sites as needed.
Provide support at job sites when required.
Assist with general warehouse tasks such as trash removal, unloading and disposing of returned materials, yard cleaning, and mowing.
Accurately label and identify all incoming materials by project.
Follow established procedures for monitoring all materials brought into the warehouse for inventory tracking.
Adhere to systems for tracking materials removed from the warehouse for inventory and job costing purposes.
Comply with processes for scheduling and tracking incoming deliveries, verifying packing slips, forwarding documentation to accounting, and updating the Ordered Materials/Equipment Sheet.
Follow procedures for scheduling and tracking all outgoing job deliveries.
Maintain accurate records of specialized tools and equipment checked out to field personnel.
Interact respectfully and courteously with coworkers at all times.
