About The Position

American Refrigeration Supplies, Inc., a wholesale distributor of A/C and heating equipment, accessories, and supplies, is seeking a motivated, results-driven Warehouse Driver for its Norfolk Branch. The role provides service within the ARS warehouse, completing work in a timely manner and following ARS workflows while maintaining a positive, friendly demeanor. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.
Clean motor vehicle and driving record.
Ability to communicate well with others.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Computer knowledge, including MS Office applications.
Basic typing and 10-key skills.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of warehouse experience in a high-volume HVAC wholesale environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver HVAC parts to customers and ensure all items are on the truck.
Follow supervisors’ directions to use correct routes and delivery instructions.
Complete daily vehicle maintenance inspections.
Verify that the vehicle has sufficient fuel and use a gas card for fueling as needed.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
Report order issues or shortages to the Manager.
Inspect inventory and verify pick-list accuracy for quality control of delivery items.
Keep the warehouse orderly, including picking up debris and returning forklifts to the proper charging area before the end of each shift.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and counter areas.
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely after training.
Follow Preferred Work Methods (PWMs) for warehouse operations and all safety procedures.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
