About The Position

Sid Harvey’s, an HVAC wholesale distributor of heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment and products, is seeking a full-time Driver and Warehouse Associate at its Williamsport, PA location. The role provides customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with purchases and efficiently processing orders. It requires using appropriate safety measures when driving, loading, and transporting products and equipment, and performing responsibilities safely, promptly, and efficiently while representing Sid Harvey’s professionally.

The associate drives a company vehicle to make customer deliveries and stock pickups and performs warehouse work such as loading and unloading trucks, receiving and organizing materials, maintaining aisles, locating merchandise, cycle counting, and assisting with inventories. The role also involves maintaining product knowledge, reporting discrepancies and customer feedback, supporting branch upkeep, and following safety procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old with three years of safe driving experience.
• Hold a valid driver’s license issued by the state where the employee lives.
• Provide, or permit the company to obtain, an acceptable driving history record.
• Be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Pass a drug test.
• Be able to safely operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.
• Regularly stand, walk, carry, and reach; regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
• Be able to talk or hear and read and identify numbers for order filling, receiving material, and payment processing.
• Apply sound reasoning and logic in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous customer service and process customer orders efficiently.
• Conduct oneself professionally and ethically, treating customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Maintain and update knowledge of Sid Harvey products, inventory, product applicability, and warehouse merchandise locations.
• Safely and accurately load and unload trucks as needed.
• Check in and put away material, verify received quantities and quality, maintain clear aisles and walkways, and keep materials organized.
• Help maintain the appearance of the branch, including the counter area, warehouse, and bathrooms.
• Drive a company vehicle for customer deliveries and stock pickups while obeying traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Maintain appropriate driving licenses and credentials and an acceptable driving record; comply with the company Driving Safety Policy.
• Report back orders and material discrepancies.
• Share positive or negative customer feedback and potential missed opportunities with the Branch Manager.
• Perform cycle counts accurately as required.
• Follow safety rules, perform duties safely, and inform the manager of potentially hazardous conditions.
• Perform vehicle and/or forklift inspections as required.
• Assist with year-end physical inventories as requested.
• Perform other responsibilities as directed.
