About The Position

Provide customer service by delivering and/or picking up parts and other products. Unload products from shipping vehicles and store them in the appropriate warehouse locations, while supporting branch warehouse operations. Delivery duties account for approximately 50% of the role. The employee may also be required to follow other instructions and perform additional duties requested by a supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalence certificate.
• At least 1 year of general warehouse experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift or carry parts over 60 pounds up to 15% of the time; most lifting and carrying involves parts weighing 5 to 60 pounds.
• Ability to wear OSHA-approved safety-toed shoes from the first day of work and wear required protective equipment when necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift operator certification.
• 1 year of forklift operating experience.

Responsibilities

• Pull and organize customer orders for delivery by part number and quantity according to picking tickets and assigned priorities.
• Provide professional customer service and ensure delivered orders are correct.
• Load materials into the vehicle and secure them with bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage.
• Follow company delivery routes efficiently.
• Pick up applicable returns and cores, tag them appropriately, and return them to the branch.
• Inspect the delivery vehicle daily, complete inspection logs, keep it clean, and operate it safely.
• Manually load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
• Stock and maintain inventory in designated warehouse storage areas.
• Package, label, and ship customer orders using UPS, US Mail, bus, motor freight, and local truck deliveries.
• Operate industrial forklifts to move materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
• Complete company-provided forklift operator training annually.
• Verify that load-related documentation is complete and accurate.
• Check vehicles before driving to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in working order.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and emptying trash as necessary.
• Immediately report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, follow loading crew signals as needed, and verify vehicle and loading-equipment positions.
• Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair status in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to comply with safety regulations.
• Inspect stock items for wear or defects and report damage to supervisors.
