About The Position

The Driver Warehouse Associate represents Baker Distributing Company and supports its operations and customer satisfaction by safely and efficiently delivering HVAC products. The role involves daily transportation of HVAC goods and materials from wholesale HVAC distributorships to customers, vendors, or other Sales Center locations, while providing professional customer service. Between deliveries, the associate helps maintain and operate the warehouse.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; equivalent experience may be considered.
At least 1 year of truck driving experience.
Box truck delivery experience.
A valid DOT medical certificate is required before employment.
Ability to meet DOT physical qualification standards, with reasonable accommodations.
At least 21 years of age.
A valid driver's license is required if driving is an essential function of the role.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Excellent customer service mindset and ability to build long-term relationships.
Ability to solve problems, analyze and interpret data, and work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with reasonable accommodations as needed.
Ability to understand and communicate in English to comply with safety standards, training, policies, and procedures; reasonable accommodations will be provided.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools; assistive technologies may be used.
Ability to move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and perform the stated physical activities.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

Represent Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry.
Load and unload products in the truck for delivery to customers and other Sales Centers.
Collect invoices with proper signatures and return them to the Sales Center Manager.
Assist with warehouse inventory counts, picking, and verifying orders.
Complete daily truck maintenance checklists and report in/out times and merchandise returns.
Follow company safety protocols and procedures, use required personal protective equipment, report hazards or incidents, and participate in safety training and drills.
Handle and store products properly to prevent accidents and injuries.
Operate trucks and warehouse equipment safely and follow safe loading and unloading practices.
Maintain a clean and organized truck and workspace.
Perform other duties as assigned.
