About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Kansas has been a trusted resource and advocate for people with disabilities and barriers to employment for over 60 years. Our mission is to transform lives and communities through the power of education, training, and employment. We are seeking a Warehouse Donation Attendant to play a key role in furthering our vision and mission in our retail area. This position provides assistance in the dock area with loading, unloading, and moving merchandise, and is crucial in fulfilling our mission statement.

  • Donation door must be answered in a professional manner and within 10 seconds.
  • Locate unloaded material in proper places in warehouse.
  • Load material for store deliveries and make deliveries.
  • Move materials in or out of warehouse, as required.
  • Move trash to compactor as needed.
  • Cleans dock area during last 7 minutes of workday.
  • Lift -- push/pull while standing - up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Sometimes over 100 pounds.
  • Carry -- push/pull while moving - up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Sometimes up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Answers donation door and greets customers.
  • Unloads donations.
  • Sorts donations for in-house storage.
  • Loads material for store deliveries.
  • Moves materials in or out of the warehouse.
  • Operates trash compactor.
  • Cleans work area.
  • Works with individuals who have disabilities and/or barriers to employment and participates in the achievement of their goals.
  • Demonstrates a positive role model.
  • Displays commitment and involvement towards Goodwill's mission.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and reports violations.
  • Supports the mission statement and activities of other departments.
  • Supports the accessibility of our services and facilities free of architectural, attitudinal, environmental, financial, communication, transportation, employment and other barriers to persons with disabilities and barriers to employment.
  • Adheres to all ethical standards and confidentiality of records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
