About The Position

The Distribution Specialist is responsible for accurately counting and picking products being distributed to customers. This role involves assisting in the setup of new distribution lines, managing product shortages and overages, and ensuring proper labeling and packaging for shipment. The specialist is also responsible for placing appropriate memos and shelf labels in boxes and processing shipments via UPS & RPS. Additionally, the role requires providing assistance in other work-related areas and performing associated duties as assigned, adapting to a variety of tasks and fluctuating priorities.

Requirements

Ability to accurately count a variety of products
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs. repetitively
Ability to work within established time and quality control goals for this area
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Ability to learn and master new tasks quickly
Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with coworkers, managers, and customers
Ability to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure
Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
Ability to manage a number of projects at one time, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of others
Adaptability to fluctuate between priorities on a daily basis while being responsive to needs as they arise

Responsibilities

Assists in set up of new distribution lines as required
Counts and/ or picks products per customer invoice or pick ticket
Responsible for placing the appropriate memo in each box and pushing each box through the tape machine
Responsible for placing the corresponding shelf labels for peggable products in the box with the product when picked
Keeps track of shortages/overages as they occur
Counts the remaining product in their section
Assists with clean up of line and surrounding areas
Ships boxes by UPS & RPS
Provides assistance in other work-related areas as required
Performs other associated duties as assigned
