About The Position

Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Delivery Driver provides excellent customer service through prompt and courteous delivery of customer orders and stock pick-ups as needed. The role also supports general warehouse operations, assists customers, and ensures responsibilities are performed safely, promptly, and efficiently.

The driver operates company delivery vehicles or trucks, loads and unloads products, verifies order quantities and quality, and confirms deliveries through required signatures or scans. The position also assists with filling customer orders, maintaining warehouse organization and product knowledge, and performing routine vehicle inspections and maintenance coordination. The driver must follow safety practices, report unsafe conditions, complete basic administrative tasks, and participate in ongoing training and safety education.

The role involves frequent physical activity and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather. It includes operating delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment and handling objects weighing up to 70 pounds, with occasional heavier materials handled using equipment or assistance.

Requirements

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
• Minimum age of 21.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of vehicle weight restrictions and warehouse procedures.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse carts.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
• Basic math skills for accurate order verification and recordkeeping.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and safety awareness.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and climbing in and out of vehicles; lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 70 pounds, with occasional heavier materials handled using proper equipment or assistance; perform repetitive loading, unloading, and verification tasks; and sit for extended periods while operating delivery vehicles.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and remain alert, focused, and safety-conscious while driving or performing physical tasks.
• Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience driving a tractor-trailer or large truck preferred.
• Previous warehouse or delivery driver experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive company delivery vehicles or trucks to transport customer orders and make stock pick-ups while following traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maintain appropriate licensing and credentials and an acceptable driving record.
• Load trucks accurately and safely for daily deliveries; unload products at customer locations using a pallet jack, hand truck, or by hand.
• Verify product quantities and quality and obtain required signatures or scans to confirm deliveries.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service at delivery sites.
• Assist with filling customer orders by retrieving, verifying, and organizing materials.
• Maintain product knowledge and awareness of inventory locations in the warehouse.
• Support general warehouse operations, including cleaning and organizing work areas.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections, schedule maintenance as needed, and maintain a clean and presentable truck.
• Use proper lifting techniques, safe handling practices, and hazard awareness to maintain a safe work environment.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Warehouse Manager.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations for counting, shipping, and tracking materials.
• Read and comprehend written instructions, memos, and reference materials to determine appropriate actions.
• Participate in ongoing training and safety education.
