About The Position

Operate a box truck or similar vehicle to pick up and deliver parts, materials, and finished products, serving customers in the local area. The role also includes assisting with general warehouse duties after completing the delivery route.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Valid driver’s license and an approved driving record, as determined by the insuring company.
• Company certification in forklift driving.
• Ability to read directions and use a street map to plot a delivery route.
• Ability to maintain simple logs and records.
• Ability to carry out work instructions without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks with required purchased or manufactured parts.
• Determine the most efficient delivery order and prepare a schedule showing the order to follow.
• Deliver orders and receive proper payments.
• Maintain simple records of deliveries and truck mileage.
• Follow the maintenance schedule for truck servicing, take other vehicles for service when instructed, and report mechanical problems to a supervisor.
• Assist with general warehouse duties after completing the delivery route.
