About The Position

The Part-Time Warehouse Custodian at Kristen Distributing Company is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment while working a consistent weekday schedule of 20–25 hours per week. This position plays a vital role in supporting day-to-day operations by ensuring floors, workstations, and common areas remain free of debris, spills, and clutter. The Warehouse Custodian is expected to perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and operating floor-cleaning equipment to uphold sanitation and safety standards throughout the facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous custodial, janitorial, or warehouse cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment (training provided if needed)
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, organized spaces
• Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks including walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and supporting warehouse operations
• Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to follow instructions, complete tasks independently, and meet shift expectations
• Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work environment
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Responsibilities

• Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of warehouse trash and debris throughout the day to keep work areas clean and clear
• Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and operate floor cleaning machines to maintain a safe and presentable warehouse floor
• Spill Cleanup: Promptly clean up spills or leaks to prevent slip hazards and maintain safety compliance
• Dusting & Surface Cleaning: Wipe down surfaces, equipment, and shelving as needed to reduce dust buildup and improve cleanliness
• Restocking Supplies: Refill cleaning and sanitation supplies in designated areas and report low inventory to supervisor
• Routine Inspections: Monitor facility cleanliness and address issues proactively before they affect warehouse operations
• Support Staff: Assist warehouse team members by clearing work zones and keeping shared spaces clean and functional
• Equipment Use: Safely operate cleaning tools and floor scrubber machinery according to training and safety protocols
• Other Duties: Demonstrate flexibility and initiative by performing other job-related tasks as assigned to support warehouse operations
