About The Position

HP Hood is seeking a self-driven Warehouse Coordinator to join their team. This role is crucial for managing warehouse inventory by coordinating product movement from production to shipping, receiving, and transferring products within both Plant and DC Warehouses. The coordinator will also manage inbound/outbound finished goods scheduling for specific customers and collaborate with the Hood Logistics team for other shipping and receiving activities. This position involves troubleshooting logistics issues and direct contact with outside carriers. Requirements

  • Associates Degree or experience equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in manufacturing/warehousing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory or lead role experience.
  • Knowledgeable of all Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office programs.
  • Strong general computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and thorough attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral required.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility including but not limited to office, production, and warehouse environments. Including the outside perimeter of the building.
  • Able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions.
  • Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with meal break.
  • Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and move objects exceeding 60 pounds with reasonable accommodations.
  • Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions.
  • Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all inbound/outbound finished goods transportation scheduling needs.
  • Assist with scheduling, reporting, and completing various tasks in SAP, Log Pro, BPCS, WMS, and other business-related software systems.
  • Compile data and create detailed itemized reports for all warehouses.
  • Complete analysis for KPI metrics and ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Work directly with warehouse managers, supervisors, and additional required personnel to execute and complete various project needs.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess vast knowledge regarding overall warehousing functions including shipping, receiving, transportation, and supply chain.
  • Ability to work independently and successfully meet tight deadlines.
  • Work in a safe manner and report safety concerns promptly to management and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure a safe environment.
  • Apply basic to complex mathematical concepts such as adding, counting, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and knowledge of weights and measures.
  • Understand and respond appropriately to any/all basic to complex employee, vendor, and customer inquiries.
  • Reconcile WMS and BPCS inventory systems validating actual counts with system totals.
  • Perform visual quality inspections of product in the warehouse.
  • Develop and maintain tracking of losses due to damage, returns, etc. and communicate results to proper areas.
  • Research & communicate OS&D – (loading errors) to both Transportation & Warehouse.
  • Monitor and communicate short coded product to ensure sales.
  • Assist with all inbound/outbound paperwork, errors, tracking & records for filing.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse, Plant & Lab for Release issues with products.
  • Provide support to procurement services for production and processing, including lab samples, and sorts of products.
  • Produce daily and weekly reports to identify product shortages and/or early releases needed.
  • Assist in periodic and scheduled audits to ensure accuracy of inventory data and manage the cycle counting program.
  • Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions.
