About The Position

Responsible for warehousing activities, which include the receipt, movement, storage, picking, and shipment of raw materials and finished goods. Physically select individual units, cartons, and pallets to fill manufacturing line orders. Move material using hand pallet jack and/or powered forklift and load/unload trailers at dock. Systematically record material movements in our Warehouse Management System. Use a computer to research and trouble shoot inventory discrepancies. Perform weekly cycle counts. Use First-In/First-Out (FIFO) methodology to appropriately select needed material. Additionally, may be required to flex across additional logistics activities as department workload dictates. Must be flexible to extend schedule to include occasional overtime during peak production periods. This specific role is primarily assigned to work at a nearby offsite support facility close to our main campus. This role requires the incumbent to achieve and maintain a DOT (Department of Transportation) endorsement provided by the company to operate a box truck between buildings.

Requirements

  • Proficient in MS Office applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Operate WMS system to ensure overall inventory accuracy.
  • Operate several powered industrial vehicles such as box truck, forklift, and a platform order picker lift (WAVE).
  • Proven track record of reliability and have demonstrated the ability to pay attention to detail along with solid organization skills.
  • Ability to learn the WMS system (Costpoint/Cognos) and process transactions electronically and physically to ensure overall inventory accuracy.
  • Required to perform tasks using a ladder.
  • Capable of bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Must be able to successfully complete powered industrial vehicle (forklift) training and qualify on platform lift equipment (WAVE) within 45 days of on-the-job training.
  • Must be able to qualify as an ATF Responsible Person.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior warehousing, shipping, receiving, and/or forklift training is preferred but not required.
