The role includes documenting receipt of items into an automated purchasing system (City Works) with a focus on fixed asset, receipt, and inventory control. The individual analyzes inventory movement, suggests reorder points, and coordinates with vendors for quotes. Additionally, the role entails conducting periodic physical inventories, operating warehouse equipment and vehicles, serving walk-in customers, and managing the inventory and disposition of surplus property. Phone inquiries and requests are promptly addressed, and shipments are inspected to identify and report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies. The position encompasses a range of duties aimed at ensuring efficient warehouse operations and fulfilling similar tasks as assigned.
