About The Position

This position receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. The schedule is for day shift Monday through Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm with Fridays and weekends off. This position is seasonal for a period of up to 6 months and employment may be terminated during that time. There is a possibility that the position may become permanent depending upon company need and job performance.

Requirements

  • Lift, carry, and load up to 50 Lbs.
  • Capable of walking distances
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods; walking, bending, stooping, and kneeling frequently
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with computers and Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Ability to accurately and consistently operate the scanner
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Basic math skills (adding and subtracting)

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months or more of prior warehouse experience is preferred
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred
  • Forklift Operating Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assisting receiving loading and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing
  • Distributing products throughout the warehouse
  • Delivering products to customer delivery points
  • Performing preventive maintenance on equipment (delivery truck, forklift, etc.) and facilities
  • Safely operating a forklift
  • Pull and prepare internal orders for transportation
  • Receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material
  • Ensure warehouse is clean, organized, secure and safe at all times
  • Assist drivers with deliveries as needed
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory
  • Other duties as assigned
