About The Position

Under general supervision, follows oral or written work orders in the storage or movement of received stock, equipment, or merchandise. Uses a forklift or power devices to haul materials to or from storage or work sites to designated areas and stores items in bins, on the floor, or on shelves for convenient removal. This role is responsible for handling raw materials, sub-assemblies, and CCS-MEXICO shipments incoming and outgoing, preparing and issuing material to the Machine Shop, and tracking, coding, or marking merchandise for inventory purposes. The clerk will also check pallets of products before stacking to ensure they are in good condition, place products in proper stacking locations, and utilize the company's rotating system to ensure product is properly rotated. Knowledge of product descriptions is required. The position also involves filling walk-in orders as needed, maintaining the cleanliness of the Warehouse departments, and ensuring all required certifications for OSHA and Company safety programs are maintained. The role requires keeping quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work, performing tasks equal to or exceeding established standards, and accomplishing production quotas. The job may require working consistently, working overtime, and traveling as required. The employee must conduct themselves in a business-like and civil manner, possess strong attention to detail, and have the ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED (min)
  • Acquired five or more years of related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Knowledgeable about company’s rotating system to ensure product is properly rotated.
  • Knowledgeable about product descriptions.
  • Maintains all required certifications required by OSHA and Company safety programs.
  • Keeps quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work.
  • Performs tasks equal to or exceeding established standards.
  • Accomplishes production quotas.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned.
  • Stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach.
  • Close vision requirements due to computer work
  • Moderate lifting is required
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

  • Experience in Aerospace a plus
