About The Position
Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Clerk in Taunton, Massachusetts. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about. Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment. Products being handled include furniture. Equipment being used includes an Electric Pallet Jack, order picker, clamp and forklift, and RF Scanner. Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates customer service skills.
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
- One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
- One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
- Using the location's WMS system updates area or shift metrics as needed.
- Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
- Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
- Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
- Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
- Coordinates activities/meetings/communication for the specific area or shift.
- Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.
