About The Position

The Warehouse Clerk works under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor to carry out departmental responsibilities including order fulfillment (picking, packing, and shipping). This position requires the ability to pull and pack orders in a timely manner, stock all items in correct locations using the inventory management software and barcode system. The role also demands multitasking and adherence to standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• High School degree or equivalent
• Proven ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to solve general math problems encountered in day-to-day operations
• Consistently displays attention to detail
• Proficient in oral and written communications, both internally and externally
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability to adapt and be flexible in a variety of situations
• Beginner ability with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Software and E-mail
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds repetitively
• Push/pull up to 80 lbs
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs above head
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching
• Walking
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Sitting for extended periods of time
• Perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time
• Wear personal safety protection including safety glasses
• Ability to climb ladders or steps on a regular basis

Nice To Haves

• Six months ‘ related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment

Responsibilities

• Assigns orders to boxes ready to ship using barcode scanner
• Picks proper item numbers and quantities per pick list
• Uses barcode scanner to pack orders
• Packs product in properly sized boxes
• Prepares and packs products for shipment that require ice (Cold shipment)
• Loads and unloads trucks using forklifts and hand jacks
• Prepares boxes for shipment utilizing FedEx Ship Manager and UPS World Ship
• Manually stocks inventory
• Uses Great Plains inventory program systems manager
• Completes Great Plains inventory inquiries and bin transfers
• Performs other duties as assigned
