About The Position

As a Warehouse Chute Worker at Old Dutch Foods, you will be responsible for removing cases of product from the chute conveyor coming from the plant and placing them in the appropriate row location in the warehouse. This role requires effective communication and teamwork to manage daily production. The position involves reading box labels to determine product placement and maintaining a quick pace throughout the workday.

Requirements

  • Communicate with crew members and work as a team to organize and remove the days production from the chute conveyor.
  • Ability to read and comprehend box labels.
  • Ability to work at a quick pace continuously for the entire workday.
  • Ability to work 8 hours per day, five days per week, overtime and Saturday if needed.
  • Dependable attendance.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand continuously for the entire working day.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment (cardboard).
  • Ability to work at or above shoulder level for 30% of the workday.
  • Ability to work overhead for 20% to 25% in a workday.
  • Ability to bend 35% of the workday.
  • Ability to reach out with arms from body 80% of the workday.
  • Ability to grab with hands 80% of a workday.
  • Ability to continuously lift from 4 pounds to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to work continuously for 2 to 2 1/2 hour intervals 4 times per day.

Responsibilities

  • Remove cases of product from the chute conveyor coming from the plant and place them in the appropriate row location in the warehouse.
  • Remove boards from board return and place on skate wheel conveyor.
  • Remove products from chute and place on board at the desired location.
  • Place product in specific stacking pattern.
  • Remove all assigned products.
  • Work as a team to remove and place all products to the appropriate location.
  • Determine which product goes in which row by reading markings on box.
  • Work at a quick pace continuously for the entire workday.
  • Work 8 hours per day, five days per week, with potential for overtime and Saturday work.
  • Maintain dependable attendance.
  • Work in a dusty environment (cardboard).
