About The Position

The Warehouse Checker performs accurate movement of inbound and outbound products and ensures shipments are free from damage. The role verifies that shipment quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing match customer specifications and other requirements. The position works in a warehouse environment and interacts with employees at all levels of the branch.

Requirements

• Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be a team player.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work safely with required tools and equipment.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Multitasking and organizational skills.
• Must accommodate a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
• Must be able to work overtime.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of recent warehouse experience.
• Knowledge of operating forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments.
• Check, document, and report damages and discrepancies against the cargo manifest.
• Confirm all cargo documents.
• Generate damage reports for damaged cargo.
• Receive, count, and sort shipments.
• Stage and palletize shipments.
• Measure and weigh shipments.
• Manually shrink-wrap pallets.
• Accurately pick, pull, and pack distribution orders.
• Observe and follow cargo, security, and safety rules.
• Assist with general warehouse housekeeping.
• Immediately inform management of service failures or problems that need to be addressed directly with the client.
• Perform other assignments given by the Lead or Manager, depending on department needs, performance, and capabilities.
