About The Position

Under supervision of warehouse management, the Warehouse Bicycle Handler Lead will assist with the physical movement and organization of all Erik's inventory. The position will have a key focus on both operating and supervising the use of stock picker equipment to facilitate bicycle picking and stocking within Erik's warehouse storage systems.

Requirements

Erik's distribution experience as a processor, laborer, or trucking staff member or outside warehouse supervisory experience preferred.
Erik's Retail experience also considered.
High School diploma or GED.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
Microsoft 365 and basic computer skills.
Experience with Erik's RMS system preferred.
Ability to supervise the performance of Bicycle Handlers
Prioritization, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of light equipment and maintenance.
Dedication to get the job done.
Ability to work in a high production distribution facility that is constantly adapting to retail business needs.
Highly proficient as a warehouse industrial lift and equipment operator and/or the ability to become highly proficient.
Ability to receive Erik's certification on any/all powered industrial equipment.
Be mobile, walk long distances, and stand for extended periods of time.
Lift up to 100 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
Lift 75 lbs. overhead repeatedly
Safely operate and work from a stock picker and lift platform to access all levels of Erik's warehouse storage system and manually lift/handle bicycles throughout the entire work shift.
Work in a warehouse work environment with limited temperature controls
Exposure to various chemicals such as grease, cleaning solutions, and ski/snowboard cleaning and waxing agents.

Responsibilities

Loading/unloading of truckload shipments.
Organization, storage, and movement of Erik's inventory utilizing a combination of manual labor and specialty equipment while following proper safety guidelines.
Bicycle inventory and stocking utilizing Erik's storage systems.
Safe and efficient operation of Erik's stock picker and platform lift equipment to manually handle bicycle inventory.
Pallet handling and building for inbound and outbound shipments.
Janitorial work and facilities upkeep.
Plan, pick and transfer inventory to retail locations and internal warehouse departments according to Erik's distribution system.
Accurately process inbound and outbound inventory in accordance with Erik's procedures.
Assist warehouse management with the training and supervision of Bicycle Handlers.
Assist warehouse management in the planning and completion of daily operations.
