About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Class C Driver to join our team at our HVAC wholesale distribution center. This position is responsible for transporting product between our branch locations in Bloomington, Rochester, and Mason City, while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. The driver will also assist with freight handling at each location and may make customer deliveries along the route as needed. This role requires someone who is dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently while maintaining excellent customer service and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Proactive, ability to work independently and execute job duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Intermittent periods of physical exertion are required (i.e. walking, standing, and stooping).

  • Excels in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective Team Player cooperates and interacts well with customers and members of Gustave A. Larson Company.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • Hold a current Class C CDL, willing to obtain Hazmat endorsement
  • High School Diploma, GED, or at least 5 years of relevant experience required.
  • 2 years experience in warehousing.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Clear driving record.
  • Pass initial drug screen testing and will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing.
  • Favorable background check, clear and current DMV driving reports will be reviewed.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certified preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a company vehicle while following all DOT and company regulations.
  • Complete daily route deliveries between our Bloomington, Rochester, and Mason City branch locations.
  • Load, unload, and transfer freight at each branch location.
  • Make customer deliveries along the route when required.
  • Verify shipment accuracy and complete all necessary delivery documentation.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the vehicle.
  • Assist with warehouse and freight handling duties as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service during branch and customer interactions.
  • Support additional transportation needs, including occasional runs to our Plymouth branch during peak business periods.
